Federal Way Chamber Our Mission
The mission of the Chamber is to enhance demand for business in our community. In pursuit of this mission, the Chamber will bring about results in four areas:

1. The Chamber is expanding partnerships to create a STRONG LOCAL ECONOMY for the community.
2. The Chamber is committed to REPRESENT BUSINESS INTEREST WITH GOVERNMENT.
3. The Chamber is PROMOTING THE COMMUNITY through leadership development and financial support that enhances our community’s children’s education.
4. The Chamber offers members a large opportunity to grow their companies through NETWORKING and REFERRALS.

Location: This meeting rotates between the Federal Way Chamber Office - 31919 1st Avenue South, Ste. 202 on the odd months, Federal Way and Federal WayCity Hall on the even months
GOAL(S):
• Create a Strong Local Economy
• Promote economic development within the City of Federal Way.
• Be an Advocate for the overall business community to build a business friendly community.
OBJECTIVE: Enhance and Encourage the retention of existing businesses
Strategies:
• Implement a small business program to support businesses.

OBJECTIVE: Attract new business

OBJECTIVE: Build a business supportive relationship between the different levels of governments and Chamber.
Strategies:
• Hold monthly meetings between chamber representative and the City Manager to inform, educate, and build alliances for business development.
• Develop a broader base for Economic Development from the business community to strengthen the Coalition.
• Utilize the strength within the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce membership to impact city decisions.

OBJECTIVE: Encourage Sustainable Development.
Strategies:
• Create a collaborative process among the City, Chamber and local government agencies to provide access to business opportunities for all people through education and technical assistance.
• Continue to revise zoning regulations to promote sustainable businesses and residential development projects.
• Continue to diversify, revitalize, and promote Downtown as the cultural, commercial and entertainment district of the City.
